Maui Humane Society’s Response to Lahaina Burn Zone Animals

Hi Friends

The fire storm that leveled Lahaina Maui on August 8th, has forever changed thousands of lives. And as people begin to share their hellish accounts of survival with the world, one can only wonder, “Is there any hope?”.

Yet out of the ash emerges another story. A story about the pets of the Lahaina fire that gives optimism for rescue and recovery. Along with the help of vets across the nation and a small but mighty animal shelter, there remains light amidst all the darkness.

Please take a couple minutes to watch the amazing work of the Maui Humane Society and to hear about Roman; a dog refusing the safety of the ocean and instead running away towards the flames.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t put the following message out there. If you have the means and are inclined to help, please DONATE to the Maui Humane Society using the button below so the countless pets still scared, hurt and in hiding, have a safe place to land and receive the treatment they need.

I personally have volunteered at this shelter while home on holiday. They’re an OUTSTANDING organization with amazing programs and first rate animal care. People who’ve adopted from them and organizations who’ve partnered with them have lauded the non-profit’s efforts. One only needs to visit their social media pages to understand the level of commitment from the Maui Humane Society. Trust that the money will go direct to animal care needed for the long term.

With Sincere Aloha,

Keala
